We are seeking an experienced Integration and Test Lead Engineer to provide technical leadership for the application and tailoring of RCC 319 requirements to complex flight and ground systems. In this role, you will lead qualification and energetics test activities, coordinate across multiple engineering disciplines, and interface directly with customers and range safety organizations to ensure safe, compliant, and effective test campaigns.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
RCC 319 Application & Compliance
Lead the tailoring and application of RCC 319 requirements for complex flight and ground systems.
Develop and maintain:
Compliance matrices
Tailoring rationales
Verification plans
Ensure RCC 319 requirements are appropriately interpreted, flowed down, implemented, and verified across systems and subsystems.
Energetics & Qualification Testing
Develop, review, and approve qualification test plans and procedures for systems and components containing energetic materials, including:
Ordnance
Propulsion systems
Pyrotechnic devices
Serve as the technical lead for energetics testing campaigns, including:
Environmental testing (vibration, shock, thermal, pressure, humidity, aging)
Functional and safety testing
Initiation and performance characterization
Analyze test data, prepare detailed test reports, and provide clear technical recommendations regarding:
Qualification status
Margins
Technical and safety risk
Cross-Functional Integration & Issue Resolution
Customer, Range & Stakeholder Interface
Interface with customers, range safety organizations, and certification authorities to:
Present tailoring approaches, test plans, and results
Address technical questions, comments, and action items
Author, update, and coordinate Operational Requirements Documents (ORDs) or equivalent requirements documents for test ranges or test campaigns.
Translate test objectives and concepts of operations (CONOPS) into clear, testable operational requirements and performance metrics.
Collaborate directly with DoD range stakeholders (e.g., range control, safety, instrumentation, spectrum management) to refine and validate operational requirements.
Apply knowledge of range capabilities and constraints-including airspace/sea space management, flight/test safety, telemetry, tracking, communications, and data collection-to support test planning and execution.
Leadership, Mentoring & Continuous Improvement
Mentor junior engineers in:
RCC 319 interpretation
Energetics test methods
Best practices for qualification and verification
Contribute to continuous improvement of internal standards, processes, and tools related to RCC 319 compliance and energetics testing.
Perform other duties as required to support program and organizational objectives.
