Roles & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Core Testing & Design Validation

  • Develop and maintain robust automated test cases for Storybook components, ensuring UI consistency, behavior, and design fidelity.
  • Create and execute Figma-based tests to validate design prototypes, interactions, and token consistency against design specifications.
  • Build and maintain end to end tests using Playwright for browser automation, UI validation, and interaction testing.
  • Leverage Applitools to implement visual regression testing and ensure pixel perfect UI consistency across releases.
  • Conduct automated accessibility testing using industry standard libraries (e.g., axe-core, Pa11y) to ensure compliance with accessibility standards.
  • Validate design tokens (colors, typography, spacing, motion) to ensure correct and consistent implementation across the UI.

DevOps & Test Platform Enablement

  • Integrate automated testing workflows into CI/CD pipelines to enable fast, reliable, and scalable test execution.
  • Improve test reliability, execution speed, and signal to noise ratio through framework enhancements and pipeline optimization.
  • Analyze test results, failures, and trends to identify systemic issues and improve overall design and product quality.
  • Document test strategies, tooling, and results to support transparency, reuse, and continuous improvement.

AI Fluency & MCP Tooling

  • Apply AI assisted testing techniques to accelerate test creation, maintenance, debugging, and root cause analysis.
  • Design, build, or extend MCP (Model Context Protocol) tools and skills that enable AI agents to:

o Understand UI components, design systems, and test context

o Assist with test generation, validation, and repair

o Interact with CI/CD pipelines, test results, and design artifacts

  • Collaborate with platform, DevOps, and DX teams to integrate AI agents and MCP tooling into existing engineering workflows.
  • Evaluate emerging AI, agentic, and testing technologies and recommend practical adoption paths that improve quality and developer productivity.

Collaboration & Leadership

  • Partner closely with design, engineering, product, and platform teams to understand requirements and deliver high quality testing solutions.
  • Advocate for shift left quality, design validation, and automation-first practices.
