Your Role

Akkodis is seeking an Engineer, Supplier Development Quality for a Contract with a client in Atlanta, GA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving supplier quality performance through supplier qualification, component validation, quality investigations, and corrective action initiatives to ensure compliance with product and regulatory requirements.

Rate Range: $45/hour to $47/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Engineer, Supplier Development Quality Job Responsibilities include:

  • Evaluate, qualify, and monitor suppliers to ensure compliance with quality, technical, and manufacturing requirements.

  • Drive supplier quality improvements through root cause analysis, corrective actions, and resolution of material, manufacturing, and field quality issues.

  • Develop and maintain incoming inspection procedures, acceptance criteria, and component qualification processes to support product quality standards.

  • Support new supplier and component introductions by conducting supplier assessments, qualification testing, and performance evaluations.

  • Investigate incoming material defects and supplier-related failures, communicating findings and corrective action requirements to suppliers.

  • Collaborate with Design, Manufacturing, and Quality Engineering teams to review component specifications, improve manufacturability, and enhance product reliability.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.

  • 3-6 years of experience in Quality Engineering, Supplier Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Quality, or a related engineering field, including at least 1 year of Supplier Quality Engineering experience.

  • Hands-on experience with supplier qualification, supplier audits, incoming inspection processes, corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), root cause analysis, and component validation within a manufacturing environment.

  • Strong knowledge of quality systems, supplier performance management, manufacturing processes, quality tools and methodologies, with the ability to drive supplier quality improvements, resolve field failures, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional engineering teams.

Pay Details: $45.00 to $47.00 per hour
