    SHIFT: Day

    EXTENSION/CONVERSION: Eligible

    ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

    We are partnering with our client in space exploration to hire a Supplier Development Engineer. This is a great opportunity to get your foot in the door with an exciting, high-tech company.

    Improve quality, cost, delivery, and capacity metrics across the supply chain

    Create, improve, and implement supplier processes and analyze their process for bottlenecks, yield, and rate limiters

    Oversee supplier audits to ensure they can meet all expectations for performance, delivery, and reliability

    Lead analysis of tooling and equipment for the manufacture and assembly of structural components, mechanical systems, and hydraulic/fluid systems/

    Develop schedules and support supplier execution

    ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

    Bachelor's degree in engineering and 4+ years of experience

    Abilit to travel up to 50% of the time domestically

    Experience working with product development to define and prioritize design requirements

    Experience in hardware development and manufacturing of complex assemblies

    Strong background in technically managing suppliers

    Implementation of DFx principles

    Very strong communication skills

    Experience with root cause and corrective action

    BONUS QUALIFICATIONS

    Master's degree in engineering or business

    Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar training/experience

    Experience with process mapping, fault analysis, and capacity modeling
