You will be a key advocate for quality within our supply base. You will help resolve supplier quality concerns by conducting defect investigations, analyzing trends, and supporting continuous improvement projects. From managing gage calibration to learning the art of root cause analysis, your work ensures that our supply chain operates with a "Zero Defect" mentality.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in resolving supplier quality issues through defect analysis and the execution of containment and inventory screenings.
• Learn and apply AS9102 requirements to evaluate First Article Inspections (FAI) and approve First Article Test plans and reports.
• Support A3 problem-solving practices and help drive corrective actions to eliminate the recurrence of non-conformances.
• Help enforce Purchase Order (PO) requirements and manage supplier non-conformance and performance improvements.
• Assist in calibration tracking, recalls, and communications with 3rd party providers for Measurement and Test Equipment (MT&E).
• Act as a liaison between Receiving Inspection, Procurement, Engineering, Operations, and Program Quality, as well as external partners like the DCMA.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

• Typically requires a degree in Engineering or a related field, and two years of experience. Early-career professionals and recent graduates with relevant internship experience are encouraged to apply.
• Strong foundational knowledge of blueprint interpretation, including GD&T.
• Exposure to Quality Management Systems (QMS) such as AS9100, ISO 9001, or equivalent.
• Familiarity with AS9102 First Article Inspection (FAI) requirements and the ability to evaluate test plans and reports.
• Ability to perform root cause analysis and utilize problem-solving tools, such as A3, to eliminate non-conformances.
• Ability to precisely document technical non-conformances and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders, including technicians, engineering, and DCMA.
• Experience with specifications, drawing reviews, and technical report writing, with a comfort level working in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications.
• Commitment to following Job Safe Practices and PPE requirements.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

• Defense contractor experience preferred.
• Experience with basic root cause analysis tools (8D, 5Why, etc).
• Black Belt or Green Belt certification.
• Direct experience in manufacturing product launch and engineering product release.
• Computer tools experience (Oracle, TIPQA, etc).

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $79365 - $134921

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
