Description

Job Title: Engineer Product II - Electronics SystemsJob Description

As an Electrical Engineer located in Horicon, WI, you will develop vehicle electrical systems for Riding Lawn Mowers and some Compact Utility Tractors. You will work closely with supply management, quality, PV&V, program management, and other cross-functional teams throughout the product development process.

Responsibilities

  • Own and develop electrical system requirements in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Develop and release electrical systems, including vehicle harnesses, in the production system.
  • Create and organize bills of material for electrical systems on vehicles.
  • Work with outside suppliers on component feasibility, development, and integration.
  • Provide build support at various stages throughout the product development process.

Essential Skills

  • 3+ years of vehicle electrical system design, integration, or testing experience.
  • Experience with developing, designing, or testing electrical components, wiring harnesses, schematics, and understanding of software/hardware interaction.
  • Demonstrated experience owning and managing project deliverables.
  • Knowledge of general product development processes.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage time effectively.
  • Provide clear, concise oral and written communication.
  • Ability to work off-shift hours, as needed, to support production during builds.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally, up to 10%.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Agriculture or other off-highway vehicle development experience.
  • Experience creating and maintaining bills of material for vehicle systems or test equipment systems.
  • Experience in product development software or writing test scripting in embedded product validation and verification such as SIL or HiL test stand.
  • Experience developing wiring harnesses and electrical systems using 3D CAD tools.
  • Project management experience.
  • Experience leading and training new team members or peers.
  • Experience leading design or test work performed by remotely located team members.
  • Advanced training in additional engineering disciplines.
  • Experience with systems engineering practices.

Work Environment

The role is primarily office-based within an engineering and product development environment focused on riding lawn mowers and compact utility tractors. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and external suppliers, using tools such as 3D CAD for wiring harness and electrical system development, as well as embedded software validation environments including SIL and HiL test stands. The position may require occasional off-shift work to support vehicle builds and testing, as well as up to approximately 10% domestic and international travel to support suppliers, testing, and production activities. The environment emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, structured product development processes, and hands-on involvement with vehicle electrical systems.

This is a Contract position based out of Horicon, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $55.00/hr.
