Akkodis is seeking an Engineer for a Contract with a client in Phoenix, AZ. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing secure cloud infrastructure solutions, developing policy-as-code frameworks, and automating governance controls across Oracle Cloud Infrastructure environments.
Rate Range: $45/hour to $46/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Engineer Job Responsibilities include:
Design, develop, and implement secure cloud infrastructure solutions within Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), including IAM, VPC, computing, storage, and logging services.
Build and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and Policy-as-Code (PaC) frameworks using Terraform and Sentinel to enforce cloud security and compliance standards.
Develop and enhance cloud governance guardrails by collaborating with security and CNAPP teams to ensure secure-by-default cloud configurations.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize OCI environments, including Oracle PaaS services, cloud networking, logging, and security controls to maintain high availability and performance.
Implement and manage cloud security measures, including identity management, network security, workload isolation, policy enforcement, and risk mitigation strategies.
Support cloud automation, incident investigation, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and secure cloud solutions.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Cloud Computing, Engineering, or a related technical field.
3-5+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering, Cloud Security, Infrastructure Automation, or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) administration.
Hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), including IAM, VPC, Compute, Storage, Cloud Logging, security controls, and Oracle PaaS services, with a strong understanding of cloud architecture and security best practices.
Proven expertise in Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform), Policy-as-Code (Sentinel), cloud governance, security policy enforcement, and automation of secure cloud environments, along with experience in monitoring, troubleshooting, and compliance management.

Pay Details: $45.00 to $46.00 per hour
