Your Role

Akkodis is seeking an Engineer for a Contract with a client in Pheonix, AZ. The ideal candidate will support enterprise data security initiatives by implementing and maintaining Data Security Posture Management (DSPM) solutions that enable data discovery, classification, policy enforcement, and risk reduction across on-premises and cloud environments.

Rate Range: $49/hour to $50/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Engineer Job Responsibilities include:

  • Implement, configure, and manage Data Security Posture Management (DSPM) solutions to support enterprise data discovery, classification, and protection initiatives.

  • Onboard and maintain integrations across on-premises and cloud data sources, ensuring effective security monitoring and policy enforcement.

  • Monitor system health, investigate incidents, troubleshoot issues, and optimize DSPM tool performance and coverage.

  • Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and vendor teams to implement enhancements and address data security risks.

  • Design and support integrations with data catalog, ITAM/CMDB, SIEM, SOAR, and security analytics platforms.

  • Develop operational documentation, reporting, and metrics while supporting the scalability and continuous improvement of enterprise data security capabilities.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in Cybersecurity, Data Security, or Data Engineering with a focus on data discovery, classification, or DSPM/SSPM.

  • Strong expertise in data classification, data security controls, modern data architectures, and regulatory frameworks such as PCI and PII.

  • Hands-on experience with enterprise integrations, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), APIs, Python scripting, and security platforms such as SIEM/SOAR and CMDB tools.

Pay Details: $49.00 to $50.00 per hour
