Located in the beautiful Juno Beach, Florida, this role offers a unique opportunity to lead and manage internal substation projects from inception through completion, ensuring they meet our high standards for quality and efficiency.
Job Overview
As a Principal Engineer, you will:
- Lead the development of substation projects from the conceptual phase through construction and commissioning.
- Collaborate with project managers and development groups to define and support engineering requirements and scope.
- Plan and coordinate large-scale projects within budgetary and scheduling guidelines.
- Manage resources, budgets, risks, and changes using formal processes and tools.
- Provide technical oversight and ensure compliance with industry standards and project specifications.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to secure project sites and necessary permits.
- Support project commissioning activities to meet corporate objectives.
- Stay updated on industry advancements and integrate innovative solutions into project designs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 10 years' experience in substation design and engineering of High Voltage substation projects.
- Project Engineering and/or Project Management experience.
- Willingness to travel within North America.
- Valid non-restricted driver's license with a clean driving record.
Preferences
- Master of Science or MBA Degree.
- PMP and/or P.E. certification.
