    Description

    Engineer Level 2 is a mid-level engineering position responsible for supporting engineering research, testing, analysis, supplier coordination, and multiple technical projects. The role requires strong technical writing, analytical skills, problem-solving ability, and the ability to make engineering decisions with moderate supervision. The engineer works independently and collaboratively to achieve project goals and deliver accurate technical reports and recommendations.

    • Requires a BS or MS in engineering.
    • All the skills and abilities of Engineer L1.
    • Additionally, must be proficient in technical writing and possess computer skills for scientific and technical applications.
    • Must be able to proficiently handle multiple projects and develop analytical procedures.
    • Work with suppliers to ensure parts/services are requested appropriately, evaluate technical proposals, and write technical reports.
    • Make technical decisions with moderate supervision.
    • Ability to report research and test results in various technical formats.
    • Able to work with a team or on an individual basis to reach project goals.
    • Valid Ohio driver's license required.

    Qualification:

    • BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering
    • Manage and support multiple engineering projects simultaneously.
    • Develop and implement analytical procedures for engineering research and testing.
    • Conduct technical analysis and evaluate engineering data to support decision-making.
    • Prepare technical reports, research findings, test results, and engineering documentation.
    • Work with suppliers to ensure parts and services are requested appropriately.
    • Review and evaluate supplier technical proposals and deliverables.
    • Make technical decisions with moderate supervision.
    • Support engineering research, development, and testing activities.
    • Use scientific and technical computer applications for analysis and reporting.
    • Communicate technical results through written reports, presentations, and other engineering formats.
    • Collaborate with engineering teams and cross-functional stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
    • Work independently when required while contributing effectively to team projects.
    • Identify technical issues, perform problem-solving, and recommend appropriate solutions.
    • Maintain accurate project documentation and technical records.
    • Support project schedules, priorities, and deliverables.
    • Follow applicable engineering, safety, and company procedures.
    • Maintain a valid Ohio driver's license when required for project activities.
