Role and Responsibilities
  • Work as an onsite PCIS Engineer (Controls and Instrumentation Engineer) in a process plant environment based in Inwood, WV.
  • Deliver designs and engineering packages related to power and instrumentation installation for industrial plants.
  • Define the scope of work in discussion with the customer, coordinate with the offshore team, and deliver engineering deliverables.
  • Coordinate with the customer to collect all required inputs to complete the engineering design.
  • Coordinate with vendors and construction teams to obtain the required information for completing the design.
  • Attend design reviews with the customer and construction team and obtain the necessary approvals.
  • Support construction and startup activities.
  • Lead electrical startup of all process and packaging equipment.

Skills Required
  • Experience working as an Instrumentation and Control Design Engineer developing engineering design packages for industrial plants.
  • Knowledge of specifying process plant instruments and hands-on experience in instrumentation selection.
  • Experience in the selection and design of controls and hardware for control and monitoring of process plant instrumentation.
  • Instrumentation experience, including setup, calibration verification, and adjustments.
  • Experience with:
    • Fisher Valves
    • Micro Motion Flowmeters
    • Rosemount Transmitters
    • E+H Flowmeters and Transmitters
    • Rockwell Control and Communication Systems
    • Allen-Bradley VFDs
  • Prepare Instrument Datasheets, I/O Lists, Instrument Lists, Wiring Diagrams, and Engineering Information.
  • Knowledge of PLC and SCADA systems for industrial networks.
  • Experience with LV electrical distribution design, power distribution panels, and motor control centers (MCCs) for process plants in compliance with NEC.
  • Knowledge of Machine Safety CAT 3 wiring.
  • Knowledge of control panel design as per UL508A.
  • Previous experience with MCCs, VFDs, electrical troubleshooting, and electrical schematics.
  • Previous experience in system commissioning and validation is a plus.
  • Trained and qualified in NFPA 70E requirements.
