    Engineer III Job Summary
    We are seeking an experienced Distribution Engineer to design, coordinate, and support the installation of natural gas distribution systems. This position manages engineering projects from design through construction while ensuring safety, reliability, regulatory compliance, and cost effectiveness.
    Key Responsibilities
    • Design and develop natural gas distribution projects, including calculations, estimates, studies, drawings, and equipment specifications.
    • Analyze system loads, pressures, future growth, and operating requirements.
    • Coordinate and support field construction activities, contractors, utilities, and external agencies.
    • Conduct pressure and cathodic protection studies.
    • Prepare project budgets, economic justifications, and completion reports.
    • Review construction work orders and project costs for accuracy and compliance.
    • Assist with system troubleshooting and operational issues.
    • Manage multiple projects while meeting schedules, budgets, and quality requirements.
    Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil, Industrial Engineering, or related engineering discipline.
    • Minimum 5 years of utility design or related project/construction design experience.
    • Strong engineering, analytical, communication, and project management skills.
    • Ability to work independently and effectively with cross-functional teams.
    • Working knowledge of DOT 49 CFR Part 192 and applicable company policies.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with MicroStation, SAP, Stoner, or ArcInfo is a plus.
    • Valid state driver's license and safe driving record required.
