    Position Summary: Rivers Casino is seeking a versatile and mechanically inclined individual to join our team as an Engineer III, responsible for performing essential preventative maintenance and repairs across the property. In this role, you will handle a diverse range of tasks—including plumbing, carpentry, and drywall repair.

    Essential Job Functions:

    The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

    • Replace damaged ceiling tiles, floor tiles, and wall coverings
    • Perform preventative maintenance to equipment on a scheduled basis
    • Handle routine calls, prioritized by guest service needs
    • Plumbing, drywall repair, carpenter functions, special trade
    • Maintain areas inside and outside of the casino and keep free of trash and debris
    • Snow removal during winter months
    • All other duties as assigned

    Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):

     

    • 1 year of experience in general maintenance procedures preferable
    • Must be mechanically inclined and able to troubleshoot basic issues around the property
    • Must be knowledgeable in building maintenance and able to troubleshoot basic maintenance issues around the property
    • Must be able to lift up 50 pounds unassisted and have the ability to use ladders and lifts
    • Must have a current valid driver’s license
    • Driving record must meet driver eligibility requirements of Rivers Casino’s insurance policy
    • Ability to share or divide attention among several ongoing activities, projects or assignments
    • Strong customer service skills
    • Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team
    • Ability to follow all policies and procedures, including, but not limited to attendance, appearance, safety, and security policies
    • Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
    • Continuously required to see, talk and hear, use hands to finger, handle or feel and to reach with hands and arms.
    • Frequently required to stand and walk, pushing/pulling.
    • Occasionally bend/stoop and kneel.
    • Occasionally reaching waist to shoulder, knee to waist and floor to knee.
    • Able to work with others while maintaining a positive and professional demeanor.
