Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated Engineer I to join our team. The role involves working at the Sweet Sue Solar site located at 4068 Manfield Rd, Aylett, VA. The ideal candidate will possess a foundational understanding of engineering concepts and demonstrate strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. This position requires the ability to work effectively in a team environment and handle multiple tasks while adhering to codes, regulations, and best practices.

Responsibilities:

• Apply basic engineering concepts, fundamentals, and theories to solve complex problems.
• Develop effective planning, project, and organizational skills.
• Interpret and adhere to codes, regulations, and industry practices.
• Utilize computer software programs and tools effectively.
• Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills, including technical writing.
• Make effective decisions and provide solutions to engineering challenges.
• Collaborate within a team environment to achieve project goals.
• Develop project management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required.
• Minimum of a high school diploma is required.
• Basic knowledge of engineering concepts, fundamentals, and theory.
• Strong analytical and abstract thinking skills.
• Proficiency in computer skills and software applications.
• Ability to learn and apply engineering theories to complex problems.
• Problem-solving skills and effective decision-making abilities.

Additional Information:

• This position does not require unescorted nuclear access.
• The candidate will be required to operate a vehicle on behalf of the company.
• Labor Category: Generation.
• This is not an outage position.
• Overtime may be required.

Pay Range: $33- $35/hr. W2
