This role involves ensuring equipment reliability and supporting technology development initiatives.Responsibilities: Perform the system owner role for assigned systems to ensure equipment reliability and technology development initiatives.Develop and maintain process control automation solutions for bench top Finesse and DeltaV Controllers systems in the Next Generation Lab.Coordinate projects for equipment modification and improvement.Conduct data trend analysis of the system and equipment used for technology development to identify and proactively manage performance trends.Ensure the preventive maintenance schedule for the systems is successfully implemented.Create and maintain a critical spare parts list for the systems/equipment.Troubleshoot performance trends and equipment reliability issues.Support new product introductions and the implementation of new equipment/technology.Monitor the effectiveness of continuous improvement projects.Initiate review and approval of changes to operating procedures and EHS change control processes related to the system.Identify and implement engineering-based improvements or upgrades to process equipment, including design requirements, options analysis, design, installation, startup, and qualification of equipment.Design, execute, implement, and lead engineering or process projects.Work collaboratively with various functions and contribute to investigations.Top 3 Must-Have Skill Sets: Collaborative project experience.Day-to-Day Responsibilities: Ensure preventative maintenance is performed on equipment.Coordinate and organize project work.Basic Qualifications: Master's degree OR Bachelor's degree and 2 years of experience.Ideal Candidate: Previous biotech/pharma experience is a plus.Experience working with equipment.B.S. in a scientific field; the manager is open to entry-level candidates.Upstream cell culture or downstream purification experience.Nice to Have: Chemical Engineering B.S. preferred.Instrumentation background, preventative maintenance, automation background (DeltaV or Finesse controllers), and process monitoring or trending experience.Experience with bioreactors and chromatography.Seniority level AssociateEmployment type ContractJob function Industries: Biotechnology Research and Pharmaceutical Manufacturing#J-18808-Ljbffr
