    Job Summary

    We are seeking an Engineering Co-op to support projects in a manufacturing environment. Working alongside experienced engineers and production teams, the co-op will help improve processes, product quality, equipment performance, and workplace safety. The co-op will receive a defined project plan at the start of the assignment and present project results at the end of the term.

    Essential Functions

    • Assist with manufacturing, process, quality, or mechanical engineering projects based on business needs and the student's area of study.
    • Collect and analyze production data to identify trends, problems, and improvement opportunities.
    • Support troubleshooting and root cause analysis for process, equipment, or quality issues.
    • Help develop and update work instructions, process documentation, drawings, and reports.
    • Participate in trials, testing, inspections, and continuous improvement activities.
    • Work with engineering, production, maintenance, and quality teams to implement project solutions.
    • Follow all safety procedures and promote safe work practices on the manufacturing floor.
    • Provide regular project updates and deliver a final presentation summarizing results and recommendations.

    Qualifications

    • Strong work ethic, analytical, and communication skills.
    • Ability to work both independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel.
    • Interest in hands-on work in a manufacturing setting.
    • Good problem-solving skills and a creative approach for new ideas
    • Computer literacy, Solidworks, AutoCAD, Esprit CAM, and MS Office Applications.

    Experience

    • 0-3 years related work experience.

    Education

    • Currently enrolled in an accredited engineering degree program, such as Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial, or a related discipline.
