Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Engineering and seven years of engineering experience are required. A State of Florida Professional Engineer license or Bachelors degree in Engineering Technology awarded or having been enrolled prior to July 1, 1979 and proof of having passed the fundamental test for the State of Florida Professional Engineer license may substitute for the required education.

Engineer 4 is an advanced supervisory professional engineering position with administrative responsibilities within the management of architecture/engineering firms, consultants, and contractors. In addition, as the owner representative for large scales, highly complex aviation facilities, engineering structural building design/construction projects. The incumbent will run and coordinate project meetings with contractors, tenants, customers, owners, and other stakeholders. Preferred experience in construction contract negotiations and litigation process, structural engineering and design for new and existing buildings, utilities inspection and design, civil/pavement/drainage work, and inspection services for terminals, cargo facilities, ancillary structures, roadways, bridges, and aircraft apron areas.
Airport Security
Applicants qualifying for employment with the Miami-Dade Aviation Department will be subject to extensive security screening, including but not limited to fingerprint checks, employment verification, and other such procedures as may be mandated by federal law. The security clearance required by federal law is a continuing condition of employment.
