    Job Summary

    The Engineer - Design Contractor assists in the planning, design, and development of technical standards for gas distribution infrastructure projects. This role is ideal for a self-starter and critical thinker with strong communication skills who enjoys the challenges of supporting the construction of natural gas facilities — a vital part of America's energy mix.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Support the design and development of natural gas storage or fueling station projects.

    • Design components and functionality for pipeline products and mechanical systems.

    • Participate in the planning, design, and maintenance of mechanical equipment and components.

    • Perform system balances to identify low points and propose optimized solutions.

    • Provide oversight and technical support for construction activities and field operations.

    Qualifications

    Education & Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, or General).

    • 3+ years of progressive engineering experience required.

    • Equivalent academic education and related work experience may be considered.

    Preferred Certifications

    • Engineer in Training (E.I.T.) Certification preferred.

    Skills & Competencies

    • Project Management skills with the ability to deliver on timelines and budgets.

    • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across matrix organizations.

    • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

    • Ability to work independently as well as part of cross-functional teams.

    • Critical thinking and customer-focused mindset with a solution-driven approach.

    • Proficient in MS Office (advanced level).

    • Basic proficiency in Computer Assisted Design (CAD) and Geographic Information Systems (GIS).

    • Intermediate proficiency in CAD/GIS software applications.
