Engine Block Technician

Our client, an industry leader in automotive engineering and motorsports, is seeking a Engine Block Technician to join their team. As a Engine Block Technician, you will be part of the Manufacturing Operations supporting the second shift team. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Engine Block Technician

Location: Costa Mesa, CA

Pay Range: $25.00

Shift: Second Shift 2:30 pm to 11:00 pm PST

What's the Job?

• Perform pressure testing on machined engine blocks to verify integrity and identify leaks or defects
• Use hand and pneumatic tools to tighten and loosen fasteners/components as part of the pressure test setup and teardown process
• Perform dimensional and visual inspections of machined parts as needed
• Support general second shift shop needs, including moving parts/materials, cleaning, and other tasks as assigned by Team Leaders and Managers
• Ensure parts and testing are completed to specifications without damage or error

What's Needed?

• Mechanically inclined with strong hands-on mechanical skills; comfortable using hand tools and pneumatic tools for tightening/loosening components
• Willingness to learn pressure testing procedures on engine components (training provided)
• Prior automotive, mechanical, or shop experience is a plus
• Strong listening skills, open-mindedness, and ability to work effectively within a team
• Basic written and communication skills in English; proficient in MS Office products such as Excel and Word
