    Description

    Job Title: Engine Block Technician (Second Shift)
    Location: Costa Mesa, CA (On-site)
    Contract Duration: 12 months

    Working hours: 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM PST (Second Shift)

    Job Description:
    What we’re looking for:
    TRD is looking for a highly motivated Engine Block Technician to join our second shift team.

    What you’ll be doing:
    Perform pressure testing on machined engine blocks to verify integrity and identify leaks or defects
    Use hand and pneumatic tools to tighten and loosen fasteners/components as part of the pressure test setup and teardown process
    Perform dimensional and visual inspections of machined parts as needed
    Support general second shift shop needs, including moving parts/materials, cleaning, and other tasks as assigned by Team Leaders and Managers
    Work to schedule as defined by WIP, the manufacturing production schedule, and Manufacturing Operations Team Leaders and Managers
    Ensure parts and testing are completed to spec without damage or error
    Inter-department cooperation
    Prioritize workload to meet all required deadlines
    Take ownership of attention to detail, quality, etc.
    Maintain a clean and tidy work environment.

    Qualifications/ What you bring (Must Haves)
    Highlight Top 3-5 skills:
    Mechanically inclined with strong hands-on mechanical skills; comfortable using hand tools and pneumatic tools for tightening/loosening components.
    Willingness to learn pressure testing procedures on engine components (training provided).
    Prior automotive, mechanical, or shop experience is a plus.
    Interpersonal Skills: Including strong listening
    skills; open-mindedness; team working and language skills necessary to facilitate effective cooperation between Associates and departments.
    Basic written and communication skills: the ability to read and write basic English.
    Proficient in MS Office products- Excel, Word.
    Must be self- motivated and able to work unsupervised and meet deadlines.
    Must have the patience, and diligence to achieve the best results possible.
    Willingness and flexibility to support varied shop tasks beyond primary duties (cleaning, moving parts, etc.).

    Physical Requirements:
    Ability to push/pull 30 lbs force.
    Ability to lift 30 lbs above shoulders.
