    Description

    • Position: Engagement Manager - Credit Risk Strategy
    • Experience: 8+ years of banking / fintech experience within credit risk strategy domain
    • Team Management: Yes; will be managing offshore team
    • Location: San Francisco (2-3 days/week in-office)
    • Compensation: Excellent base + 15% variable bonus

    Role and Responsibilities:

    As the Risk Strategy and Pricing Engagement Manager, you will play a pivotal role in analyzing and designing credit risk and pricing strategies for Fintech clients. This position requires extensive experience in the lending industry, along with a profound understanding of various business functions such as Credit Risk, Product, and Analytics. A significant plus would be having experience working with Auto lending / personal loans and devising credit and pricing policies for unsecured portfolios. Your problem-solving skills, product sense, and ability to work effectively cross-functionally will be key to your success.

    • Serve as main client contact, engaging with C-level executives.
    • Track volume/funnel trends to refine pricing and impact RoEs.
    • Assess credit performance and recommend policy improvements.
    • Monitor market changes on third-party channels for senior management decisions.
    • Manage specific origination channels: oversee credit policies, conduct tests, and adjust pricing.
    • Align and work with stakeholders across the organization.
    • Lead and plan analytical projects with offshore teams for smooth execution.

    Candidate Profile:

    • 7+ years of experience in Credit risk strategy, along with in consulting, solution design and client management
    • SQL; Python good to have
    • Credit policy optimization and credit strategy experience
    • Unsecured lending expertise (Acquisitions/Underwriting)
    • Excellent communication, presentation and story building skills in a consulting setup
    • Master's degree in economics, mathematics, computer science/engineering, operations research or related analytics areas; candidates with BA/BS degrees in the same fields from the top tier academic institutions are also welcome to apply
    • Demonstrable leadership ability, superior problem solving and people management skills
