Engagement Lead (Strategy & New Product Initiatives)

About the Role

We are seeking a high-performing, generalist operator to join a strategy-driven team focused on launching and scaling new, high-impact product initiatives. This role sits at the intersection of strategy, product, and client delivery, with a mandate to take early-stage offerings from concept to successful customer deployment.

As an Engagement Lead, you will own client engagements end-to-end—guiding implementations, driving alignment across stakeholders, and ensuring successful adoption of new solutions. In addition to execution, you will play a key role in shaping how engagements are delivered by building scalable processes, frameworks, and best practices.

This is an ideal opportunity for candidates from consulting or other generalist, client-facing backgrounds who thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments and want to operate with a high degree of ownership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own client engagements end-to-end: Lead deployments from late-stage pre-sales through implementation and post-launch stabilization, ensuring timelines, outcomes, and stakeholder alignment are achieved
  • Support pre-sales and scoping: Partner with internal teams during later-stage sales cycles to scope engagements, define success metrics, and set realistic expectations
  • Drive discovery and solution design: Translate ambiguous client needs into structured workflows, requirements, and implementation plans
  • Execute complex projects: Manage multiple workstreams simultaneously, coordinating across internal teams and external stakeholders while maintaining clear timelines and communication
  • Lead implementation and launch: Partner cross-functionally to configure solutions, support data-related processes, and drive successful go-live and adoption
  • Influence product development: Collaborate with product and engineering teams to translate client feedback into actionable product improvements and roadmap priorities
  • Build scalable processes: Develop repeatable playbooks, tools, and systems to improve the efficiency and quality of future engagements

Candidate Profile

  • 3–6 years of experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, product roles, or other generalist, client-facing positions
  • Proven ability to manage complex, ambiguous projects independently and drive them through to completion
  • Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trust and influence decisions
  • High level of ownership, adaptability, and comfort operating in fast-paced, evolving environments
  • Strong problem-solving and structured thinking capabilities
  • Technical aptitude or comfort working with technical products (formal technical background is a plus, not required)

Additional Details

  • Compensation: $160,000 – $250,000 base salary + equity
  • Work Model: Primarily in-office (4–5 days per week in NYC)
  • Travel: Approximately once per month (3 days) for client engagements
  • Team Structure: Role sits within a strategy-focused team, with reporting lines dependent on level of seniority.

Why This Role

This is a unique opportunity to join a high-growth environment and work on net-new initiatives that are critical to the company’s future. Rather than following established processes, you will help build them—gaining exposure to strategy, product development, and client execution while operating with significant autonomy and impact.
