In this role, you will work alongside architects, engineers, consultants, and agency partners to improve Montana's public buildings through data-driven planning, energy efficiency, and capital project coordination.

You will contribute to the State's Long-Range Building Program by coordinating facility condition assessments, advancing energy conservation efforts, and supporting planning studies that guide future investments. • Interpreting Facility Condition Index (FCI) data to help prioritize capital improvements and inform long-range planning.
  • Assisting with evaluation of energy conservation measures, including energy savings analysis and net present value calculations.
  • Coordinating utility rebates and supporting agency repayment agreements tied to energy projects.
  • Promoting energy-efficient design strategies in collaboration with project teams and stakeholders.
  • Supporting Long-Range Building Program (LRBP) planning, including preparation of project materials, feasibility studies, and capital development planning.
  • Collaborating with internal teams to align facility data, energy initiatives, and capital plans into a cohesive 6-year improvement strategy.

  • Experience with facility assessments, building systems, project coordination, or energy programs.
  • Familiarity with FCA practices and ability to interpret FCI data.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams, consultants, or public sector stakeholders is preferred.

Competencies:

Ability to:

  • Analyze facility data and translate it into actionable planning insights
  • Manage multiple priorities across assessment, energy, and planning workstreams
