Position Summary:
As an Energy Engineering Manager at Redaptive, you will serve as the technical engine behind our operations and sales organizations, enabling deal success by combining deep energy engineering expertise with hands-on technical sales experience. You will develop and present the technical case and project economics for Redaptive's energy efficiency solutions directly to customers, while applying rigorous engineering judgment - project development, savings calculations, M&V protocols, and value engineering - to ensure every proposal is technically sound and commercially competitive.
This role sits within Redaptive's Customer Operations team and collaborates directly with the sales organization, partnering with Sales Executives and third-party design and construction partners throughout the project lifecycle - qualifying opportunities, designing solutions, vetting vendors, developing proposals, and carrying projects through contract signature - while acting as an in-house energy engineering subject matter expert. After contract signature, the role leads the turnover to the operations teams responsible for project execution and provides engineering support as needed through project delivery.

Required Abilities and Skills:
Industry-leading knowledge of electrical and mechanical construction and commercial processes, with mastery of both the construction cycle and contracting requirements for large-scale commercial energy projects.
In-depth knowledge of savings calculations for mechanical systems, including chillers, boilers, HVAC, air compressors, and industrial process equipment.
Preferred: in-depth knowledge of the design and savings calculations for lighting, electrical, storage, and solar systems.
Familiarity with requests for proposals (RFPs) and scope of work refinement.
Comfortable in customer-facing settings and motivated to drive growth.
Experience supporting technical sales cycles, including working within structured qualification processes and developing training materials for sales teams.
Articulate communicator able to adapt style and technical depth to any audience - from C-suite executives to facility operators and maintenance staff - with strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
Proficiency with Salesforce (SFDC) and other sales tools.
Analytical mindset with a keen eye for detail and a focus on quality assurance.
Excellent organizational, time management, and prioritization abilities to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Resourceful and comfortable operating in an entrepreneurial environment.
