Job Description

Essential Functions:

• Specialize in the integration of both surgical and imaging concepts within the hybrid operating room. • Consistently demonstrates a thorough knowledge of patient positioning, principals of radiation safety quality control, image post processing, and demonstrates the ability to plan own work. • Uploads proper diagnostic images in preparation for requested examination prior to procedure day. • Provide direct, hands-on assistance to physicians performing endovascular and surgical procedures. • Operate and provide technical support for medical devices, imaging systems, and other surgical equipment. • As needed, operates fluoroscopy under physician supervision. • Ensures the procedure and related supplies are documented and billed correctly. • Competently works within required computer programs as well as manual downtime processes. • Critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment. • Prepares the procedure tray and equipment according to the physicians preference. • Function as a scrub tech and handles surgical instruments while assisting physician. • Act as a monitor during procedures. Documents appropriate information in patients chart. • All additional duties as assigned.

Additional Requirements

Required:

• Education - High School Diploma/GED Equivalent: General Studies
• Certification - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• Certification - American Heart Association (AHA); Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification - American Heart Association (AHA) - Within 60 days of hire or transfer
• Certification - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
• Education - Accredited University or accredited training professionals
• Certification - Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Certification - Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)

Regarding BLS certification: The department you are applying to may require BLS certification sooner than 60 days post transfer/hire. The hiring manager will discuss this with you if it is applicable.

Preferred:

• Education - Associates degree in Applied Science
• Experience - 5+ years of Cardiology Experience
• Experience - 5+ years of Clinical Experience
