May assist the RN in technical aspects of circulating duties.ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIESParticipates in the maintenance of Procedure room supplies and endoscopic equipment. Assures the integritycondition and availability of adequate equipment. 40Functions as an integral member of the team throughout the performance of GI-endoscopic procedures. 30Disassembles and reprocesses instrumentation on a post-procedure basis as per current departmental policy. Maintains documentation as per policy. 20Maintains effective two-way communications with patients families and all members of the health care team. 5May assist with special procedures under the direction of the RN and MD e.g. Yag lasers wound care etc.. 5Performs other duties as assigned or required.QUALIFICATIONSMinimumHigh school diploma GED or one to three months related experience andor training or equivalent combination of education and experience.CPR - American Heart AssociationAct 34 Criminal Background Clearance CertificateAct 33 Child Abuse Clearance CertificateAct 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance CertificatePreferredAssociates degree in health-related field.Prior GI-endoscopy experience.Disclaimer The job description has been designed to indicate the general nature and essential duties and responsibilities of work performed by employees within this job title.
