Endoscopy Technician

The Endoscopy Technician assists physicians during procedures, assists with specimen collection for pathology, and provides direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Additional responsibilities include preparing procedure rooms, maintaining supplies and equipment, and cleaning and disinfecting endoscopes according to established procedures and manufacturers’ instructions.

Mississippi Valley Endoscopy Center is seeking a full-time Endoscopy Technician to join our growing team.

The Endoscopy Technician assists physicians during procedures, assists with specimen collection for pathology, and provides direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Additional responsibilities include preparing procedure rooms, maintaining supplies and equipment, and cleaning and disinfecting endoscopes according to established procedures and manufacturers’ instructions.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Training in the healthcare field required.
• CPR/BLS certification required.
• Previous endoscopy or ambulatory surgery center experience preferred, but not required.
• Computer experience and a background as a medical assistant, certified nursing assistant, or surgical technologist preferred.
