Job Description
Are you a detail-oriented EMR Data Entry Specialist seeking a short-term opportunity? Our client is seeking an EMR Data Entry Specialist to manually transfer patient information from two existing electronic medical record (EMR) systems into a new EMR. Responsibilities:
• Manually transfer patient information from two existing EMR systems into a new EMR.
• Review source records and enter patient data accurately and completely.
• Navigate two different EMR platforms, including one with a less user-friendly interface.
• Verify entered information against original records and correct data entry errors.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA requirements.
• Complete assigned records efficiently during the 1-2 week project.
Qualifications and Requirements:
• Prior EMR/EHR data entry or medical records experience preferred.
• Strong typing, data entry accuracy, and attention to detail.
• Ability to learn and navigate multiple EMR systems.
• Understanding of patient confidentiality and HIPAA practices.
• Availability Tuesday-Friday, 8 AM-5 PM, for a 1-2 week assignment.
