REQUIREMENTS:  Global Trade Compliance or Principal Attorney   • US Person (U.S. Citizen, Permanent Resident or other person who meets the requirements of ITAR 22 C.F.R. §120.62)
• Bachelor’s Degree and 8 years of experience in export control including investigations, Master’s Degree in export control, including investigations, and 6 years of experience, JD and 4+ years of experience in export compliance investigations.
• Team player, proactive, self-motivated, highly organized, ability to handle shifting priorities and to communicate effectively and professionally (both orally and in writing) with internal and external customers at all levels of the organization
• Make decisions using sound judgement while complying with policies, procedures, appropriate principles and applicable state and federal laws and regulations
• Analyze, evaluate, develop and implement processes and procedures within budget and adhere to time requirements and schedule
• Exercise discretion and independent judgement in the performance of duties and tasks assigned under delegation
• Working effectively in a heavily matrixed environment • Accept additional duties as assigned

• Accept additional duties as assigned, JOB DESCRIPTION:  Global Trade Compliance or Principal Attorney  Our client is seeking a Senior Manager, Global Trade Compliance or Principal Attorney, Global Trade Compliance.  This is a Senior Manager or Principal Attorney position supporting the Global Trade Compliance (ITC) team in reviews of of the clients businesses to measure compliance with export and import regulations. This position also supports the investigation of matters of interest and preparation of disclosures related to instances of non-compliance. This position requires advanced experience as a trade compliance professional, an understanding of how a trade compliance function supports the business, programs and functions, strong writing and communication skills, a high level of organization and follow up skills, the ability to complete detail-oriented tasks and to work independently and within a team environment. Experienced empowered official who is an expert in compliance with US export and import laws including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Assists with internal investigations and prepares draft disclosures, including analysis of issues and development of findings, conducts interviews, develops written summaries, researches regulations, prepares draft correspondence to US Government agencies. Assists with assigned compliance tasks, data calls, reporting requirements, record keeping and file management, working groups, continuous improvement projects, process and procedure development, and training.
