Overview
This is not a general guest services role. Gate Specialists are responsible for entry screening, safety enforcement, and high-volume crowd control at Empower Field at Mile High. You will be on your feet for the entire shift, working in all weather conditions, enforcing policies with guests who may push back, and maintaining focus in a fast-paced environment.
If you are not comfortable enforcing rules, managing conflict, or maintaining attention to detail for long periods, this role is not a fit.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate magnetometers and conduct bag checks
- Enforce prohibited items policy consistently
- Control access points
- Maintain entry flow without compromising safety
- Identify and escalate security concerns
- Communicate clearly with team members and supervisors
- Provide professional, direct guest interaction

Required Experience:
Non-Negotiables
- Must be 18+
- Reliable attendance required
- Able to stand for 6-8+ hours
- Comfortable working outdoors in all conditions
- Able to enforce rules and manage conflict
- Available for a majority of events
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in security, screening, or event operations
- Experience in high-volume environments
- Experience with conflict management or de-escalation
Physical Requirements
- Standing and walking entire shift
- Repetitive scanning and screening
- Lift up to 25 lbs
- Navigate stairs and large crowds
Schedule
Event-based schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays. Scheduling is based on availability and operational needs.
