Employment Specialist/Coordinator for Pre-ETS Students

Bloom Consulting is seeking a passionate and dedicated Employment Specialist to join our Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS) program in Missoula, MT. This contracted position offers meaningful growth potential. As the caseload develops to a sustainable level, the role is intended to transition into full-time employment with benefits. Position Details

  • Title: Employment Specialist/Coordinator for Pre-ETS Students
  • Location: Missoula, MT
  • Hours: depends on case load - up to 40 hours per week 
  • Salary: $20-$25/hour
  • Supervisor: Christine Morrison

Responsibilities

  • Set up and coordinate Work-Based Learning Experiences, Job shadows, and/or Informational Interviews with local employers.
  • Support students as they practice workplace skills and navigate job expectations.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with local employers, addressing any concerns or behaviors that arise on-site.
  • Market the program to businesses to create new employment opportunities for students.
  • Document student progress and attend meetings with VRBS, School Liaisons, and employers as needed.
  • Some travel in the greater Missoula Area
  • Training as required by the state of Montana

Qualifications

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree is required.
  • Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities is required.
  • Proven ability to build connections with businesses and market programs is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to foster relationships with High Schools, students, employers, and stakeholders.
  • Able to manage schedule and maintain case notes and other administrative tasks in a timely manner.
