POSITION SUMMARY:
Will provide vocational support services to individuals with serious mental illness and other behavioral health challenges to help them obtain and maintain competitive employment. Working within a psychiatric rehabilitation framework, will assist individuals in identifying career goals, developing job-seeking skills, securing employment opportunities, and achieving long-term employment success while promoting recovery, independence, and community integration.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Conduct vocational assessments to identify participants' strengths, interests, skills, and employment goals.
- Develop individualized employment plans in collaboration with participants and treatment team members.
- Assist individuals with job readiness activities, including resume preparation, interview coaching, and job search strategies.
- Provide individualized supported employment services consistent with psychiatric rehabilitation and recovery-oriented principles.
- Develop and maintain relationships with local employers and community organizations to identify employment opportunities to include educating employers about supported employment services and workplace accommodations when appropriate.
- Conduct job development and placement activities to match participants with appropriate employment opportunities to include providing ongoing job coaching, support, and follow-up services to help participants maintain employment.
- Ensure compliance with agency policies, funding requirements, accreditation standards, and confidentiality regulations.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, rehabilitation, education, or a related field plus at least one (1) year of mental health experience. OR
- Bachelor's degree in a human service-related field plus at least three (3) years of related experience.
- Approved fields social work, psychology, sociology, counseling, education, criminal justice, nursing, social sciences and related disciplines.
- Act 33/34/73 Clearances
- Pre-Employment Drug Screen
- Access to reliable transportation
