    Description

    Primary Purpose

    Implement efficient employment procedures for district-wide support staffing; provide Business Office with necessary payroll information ensuring proper payment for support staff; provide assistance to support employees regarding payroll matters. Actively engage in actions that contribute to the overall mission and strategic plan of Clear Creek ISD.

    Qualifications

    Education/Certification/Licensure

    • High school diploma or GED

    Special Knowledge/Skills

    • Effective communication, interpersonal, and public relations skills

    • Strong organizational and file management skills

    • Working knowledge or ability to learn PowerSchool ERP, Microsoft Word, Kronos, and TalentEd

    • Strong Microsoft Excel skills

    • Knowledge of general office procedures and equipment

    • Ability to be detail-oriented, prioritize, and work effectively under stress and frequent interruptions

    • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision

    Experience

    • Minimum of 3 years general business, accounting or payroll experience preferred

    Major Responsibilities and Duties

    • Responsible for usual office routines and practices associated with a productive office, including but not limited to answering multi phone calls daily, typing correspondence and reports, sending and retrieving e-mail messages, maintaining and retrieving employee documents.
    • Determine appropriate salaries for paraprofessional, auxiliary and technical employees.
    • Process and communicate information for all new hires, changes and terminating support employees.
    • Provide orientation of new support employees and processing of required documents.
    • Enter update, and review information in PowerSchool ERP
    • Assist the Liaison for CCISD, Facility Services, SBEC, L-1 Services and TXDPS regarding fingerprinting processes, FACT Clearinghouse and certification status.
    • Assist with fingerprinting CCISD applicants, as needed.
    • Assist with the processing of employee badges. Initiate, research, recommend and prepare information materials for all new hire support employees.
    • Assist with the reconciliation and accounting of support staff numbers in the payroll and HR Software systems.
    • Assist with inquiries regarding employment verification.
    • Initiate, distribute and monitor annual letter of reasonable assurance for eligible support employees.
    • Prepare, investigate, and communicate information regarding annual salary verification for all support employees.
    • Create, correct, and distribute service records for all support staff.
    • Assist with monitoring and maintaining the position control information for all support staff.
    • Generate, maintain, and communicate Motor Vehicle Reports for all eligible employees and applicable departments.
    • Initiate and maintain random drug testing database of all eligible employees.
