Overview:
The Los Angeles office of Kaufman Dolowich, a full-service National Law firm with more than 250 attorneys across 16 offices and over 25 practice areas, is actively seeking an Employment Partner to join their Labor & Employment practice group.
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated attorney with a strong background in labor and employment defense litigation to step into a leadership role within a nationally recognized firm. The ideal candidate will bring strategic litigation experience, strong leadership and mentoring capabilities, and a commitment to exceptional client service. Portable business will be considered but is not required.
Responsibilities
Handle all aspects of labor and employment defense litigation from inception through resolution
Manage and supervise multiple attorneys and legal staff within a collaborative team environment
Defend employers in a broad range of employment matters, including:
Wage and hour disputes
Single-plaintiff and class/collective actions
Discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wrongful termination claims
Conduct and oversee appearances in both Federal and State courts
Represent clients in investigations and proceedings before the:
U.S. Department of Labor
EEOC
State and local human rights agencies
Provide strategic counseling and risk management advice to clients on employment-related matters
Build and maintain strong client relationships while contributing to the continued growth of the practice group
Qualifications
Minimum of 10 years of employment litigation defense experience
Significant experience handling wage and hour matters and employment class actions
Demonstrated leadership, supervisory, and management experience
Strong litigation, analytical, and communication skills
Experience managing complex employment matters in both Federal and State courts
Admission to practice in California required
Portable business is welcomed but not required

Base Salary Range: $200k -$300k
