Employee Relations Specialist (Bilingual Spanish)
Job Summary
The Employee Relations Specialist serves as a trusted resource for employees and management by providing guidance on workplace concerns, employee relations matters, and company policies. This role requires frequent travel (approximately 50–75%) with some overnight to job sites throughout North Carolina and South Carolina, with occasional travel to other locations as business needs dictate. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in active construction environments and building strong relationships with field employees and site leadership.
Responsibilities
Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations concerns, conducting intake, assessment, and resolution of workplace issues.
Respond to routine labor and employee relations inquiries regarding company policies, procedures, and workplace practices; escalate complex matters as appropriate.
Partner with leadership to foster a positive work environment, improve employee engagement, and address ongoing performance or workplace concerns.
Conduct employee interviews and gather relevant information related to complaints, harassment allegations, workplace disputes, and other employee relations matters.
Support investigations and collaborate with Human Resources leadership when additional review or action is required.
Maintain current knowledge of employment laws and regulations related to EEO, affirmative action, labor relations, collective bargaining agreements, and human resources best practices.
Travel regularly to construction sites to support employees and management teams in the field.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bilingual in English and Spanish required.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal, conflict resolution, and relationship-building abilities.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
Exceptional organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Valid driver's license required.
Ability and willingness to travel 50–75% as needed.
Comfortable working in construction site environments and interacting with field-based employees and leadership.
Salary
$85,000 with travel allowance
Schedule
Monday-Thursday: 7:30am-5:30pm
Friday: 7:30am-11:30am
