Description

Employee Relations Investigator

Location: Remote | Duration: 3+ months

Role Summary:
Conduct fair, unbiased, and confidential employee relations investigations involving sensitive and complex workplace concerns. Partner with HR, management, and Legal to resolve cases and ensure consistent application of policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Independently conduct complex employee investigations, including interviews, fact-finding, documentation, and investigation reports.
  • Partner with Legal Counsel on investigations, documentation, and resolutions.
  • Advise HR/management on employee relations, disciplinary actions, conflict resolution, and policy application.
  • Maintain accurate case records and investigation documentation in case management systems.
  • Identify trends in ER cases and recommend proactive solutions.
  • Manage multiple sensitive cases, prioritize effectively, meet deadlines, and escalate issues appropriately.

Key Qualifications:

  • 3–5+ years Employee Relations/HR experience, including 3+ years handling complex employee investigations.
  • Experience working with large organizations in fast-paced environments.
  • Proven experience conducting workplace investigations and collaborating with Legal teams.
  • Strong knowledge of employment/labor laws and compliance.
  • Strong interviewing, communication, critical thinking, conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills.
  • Highly self-directed, organized, confidential, and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Union/represented workforce experience preferred, not required.
  • Experience with HR case management systems (Oracle, CaseIQ, iSight, etc.) is a plus.
  • Strong Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint skills.
  • No degree required for screening purposes.
