About this Role:

The Employee Experience Specialist supports HR, Operations, and Safety by coordinating employee engagement, recognition, and care initiatives for our craft workforce. This role manages the administrative side of employee experience — tracking milestones, processing illness/injury/bereavement communications, and maintaining engagement programs — while serving as a liaison between craft employees and internal departments. This role is home-based out of our Des Moines, Iowa warehouse, which provides two key advantages: constant visibility with the warehouse crews, and a central place to store and manage gear inventory for site visits. Because the role supports employees across multiple locations, this position requires significant travel (approximately 50–75%) to our warehouse locations in Brooks, Kentucky and Kosciusko, Mississippi, as well as to active construction sites. 

 

Pay Range: $28 - $35/hourly 

What You'll Do:
  • Coordinate employee engagement and recognition programs — tracking milestones, work anniversaries, and safety achievements
  • Process and route employee feedback to Operations and HR, summarizing themes and recurring concerns
  • Maintain gear inventory records and coordinate distribution logistics for craft employees
  • Log and route EHS-related statements and reports to Safety, HR, and Claims, ensuring accurate documentation
  • Serve as the point of contact for illness, injury, and bereavement communications between employees, HR, and Operations
  • Coordinate care packages and check-ins for employees who are injured, sick, or bereaved
  • Share engagement best practices with other Employee Experience Specialists across the business
  • Duties may evolve with business needs
What You'll Bring:
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish (written and verbal) preferred
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills
  • Comfortable managing multiple ongoing cases/programs with minimal supervision
  • Clear, empathetic communicator across all levels of the organization
  • Prior HR, coordination, or administrative experience preferred
