Employee Engagement Specialist

Overview:

The Employee Engagement Specialist will support an active construction site by managing day-to-day onboarding and employee retention efforts. This role serves as an on-site HR resource, helping new hires get started smoothly, connecting employees with programs and resources, and building positive working relationships with field teams. The Employee Engagement Specialist will partner with site leadership and HR to strengthen the employee experience, address engagement concerns early, and support a safe, productive, and engaged workforce.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Develop and administer employee engagement programs that support a healthy, productive work environment and strengthen employee attraction and retention.
• Prepare and distribute clear communications and resources regarding employee programs, including work-life initiatives, wellness and fitness offerings, childcare resources, employee discounts, flexible or remote work options, education, and training.
• Track and analyze program participation, employee feedback, market competitiveness, workforce productivity, and related costs to evaluate program effectiveness and recommend a balanced mix of offerings.
• Partner with management to evaluate, select, and design employee programs and identify opportunities to improve participation, value, and overall employee experience.
• Respond to employee questions by directing individuals to appropriate program information and resources and escalate complex matters to management when necessary.

• Cross-train in all facets of the Division, preparing to fill in for anyone absent and grow in responsibility and scope over time.

The person in this role will uphold the culture of Utilitra, including relationship building with customers as well as general behavior on Utilitra or client premises or at Utilitra-sponsored events.

Requirements/Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, organizational development, or a related field.

• Will consider experience in lieu of degree.

Travel Requirements:

• This position will report to project sites.
