Employee Benefits Client Manager II - Southern California

A well-established, growing insurance brokerage in Southern California is looking for an experienced Employee Benefits Client Manager to independently manage a book of group benefits clients, partnering closely with producers. Training, resources and continuing education are provided.

What you'll do

• Own the new business and renewal process for your clients, from marketing strategy and carrier submissions to proposals, negotiation of plan terms and pricing
• Build spreadsheets, presentations and proposals for new and renewing accounts
• Onboard new clients: BOR letters, account setup in the agency management system (EPIC), and introductory outreach
• Plan and lead open enrollment meetings, submit applications, audit enrollment and coordinate carrier terminations
• Handle ongoing service: new hires, coverage changes, terminations, claims questions, billing issues and COBRA questions
• Check in with each client at least quarterly and respond to client, carrier and member requests within 24 hours
• Keep policy data accurate and loop in the producer quickly on urgent issues

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree
• Active California Life & Health license
• 5+ years of employee benefits account management experience, with solid tenure
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Strong communication, organization and attention to detail, with a team-first, service-minded approach

Compensation and setup

• $100,000 to $115,000
• Hybrid or remote; candidates must reside in Southern California
