Required Skills & Qualifications

• BS in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
• 3 years of experience in emissions and emissions testing
• 3 years demonstrating a fundamental understanding of internal combustion engine function
• Solid understanding of emissions regulations, certification process, and technologies that are effective in reducing emissions
• Advanced problem-solving skills
• Strong leadership skills, passion for quality, and customer focus
• High technical aptitude
• Ability to manage/resolve challenging complex issues
• Strong skills in project planning and management
• Strong oral/written communication skills
• Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• MS in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
• 5 years of experience in emissions and emissions testing
• 5 years demonstrating a fundamental understanding of internal combustion engine function
• 5 years of Product Development experience which includes processing and delivering programs from concept through production
• 5 years demonstrating ability to analyze, plan, and solve sophisticated system problems related to engine and emissions

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and support vehicle, powertrain dynamometer, and/or engine dynamometer testing at internal and external facilities
• Proactively identify potential calibration concerns or issues encountered during testing and report findings
• Perform post-processing of test data files and analyze key statistics critical for emissions compliance
• Perform detailed analysis of emissions test data and provide data-driven recommended actions
• Summarize test findings, data analysis results, and recommended actions in presentations
• Track and maintain accurate records of test vehicle status
• Actively participate in the test planning process
• Prepare and submit necessary Test Requests on a weekly basis
• Develop, optimize, and validate full-cycle emissions calibrations
