Emission Calibration Engineer

Description:

• Investigate competitor vehicles emission control system including evap systems and perform competitor benchmarking to evaluate emission performance
• Investigate competitors OBD systems through repair manual survey and/or vehicle evaluation
• Rent and prepare competitor vehicles for benchmarking tests, including necessary modifications and instrumentation
• Test preparation, data collection, data analysis, and technical report creation on a regular basis
• Build successful relationships with benchmarking technician group, countergroups in Japan, and external labs.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders
• Complete required internal training necessary for job execution (Technical, Driving, etc.)Perform software logic and value confirmation activities
• Coordinate with suppliers and external labs for testing and benchmarking activities
• Monitor and interpret regulation trends and future directions from EPA, CARB, and other regulatory bodies to drive benchmarking activities
