    We are looking for:Emergency Veterinary Technician

    Proposed Schedule: Thurs-Sat 10a-10p, could rotate at times to Wednesday 12-10, Thursday 12-10, Friday 12-10, Saturday 10-8

Every day is different andthere’snever the same case twice!

    What you’ll do: 

    • Record and deliver organized rounds,discusscasesandgatheradditionalinformation as necessary

    • Evaluating incoming patients and prioritizing based on assessment

    • Partner withpatient care teamregardingtreatment plans, clientcommunicationand nursing care concerns

    • Provide client education including, but not limitedto:home care instructions, medications (indications, adverse reactions)and general wellness updates on hospitalized patients

    • Assist DVM with patient assessment,treatmentand procedures

    • Provide monitoring and nursing care to hospitalized patients

    • Induce andmonitorgeneral anesthesiaandsedation procedures

    • Perform in-house laboratory testingandprepare samples for outside laboratory testing

    Who you are: 

    • State Registered Veterinary Technician licensepreferred

    • Prior veterinary experience,previousemergencyexperience desired

    • Proficient in calculations (drugs, constant rate infusions, unit conversions, etc.)

    • Flexibility with work hours and able to workadditionalhours when necessary

    • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
