Center for Youth: Started BY YOUTH FOR YOUTH. We partner with youth to realize their full potential, by creating opportunities, removing barriers and promoting social justice. The Center ensures understanding and values differences in people of diverse cultures, ethnic origins, sexual orientation, disabilities and beliefs.Overview: The Counseling and Runaway and Homeless Youth (RHY) Department provides a continuum of essential services to the most vulnerable youth in our community, including two crisis nurseries, an emergency shelter, permanent and transitional housing, a food and clothing pantry, street outreach, and support for minor victims of commercial sexual exploitation.Schedule: Full time, 37.5 hours per week. Sunday-Thursday, 10 am-6 pm, with flexibility to accommodate client and family needsLocation: Emergency ShelterResponsibilities:Case managementAssessments and service plansCrisis interventionReferrals and follow-upAftercareYouth transportationYouth advocacyMaintenance of client confidentialitySupport daily shelter activities (youth routines, supervision, meals, life skills recreations activities, etc.)Maintenance of facility and groundsPartnership with youth & family counselor on youth case coordination  Required Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Human Services OR Equivalent combination of experience and educationKnowledge of youth asset development and risk reduction theory, and youth serving systems, community resources, partnerships and collaborationsA valid Driver's licenseSkills: Excellent verbal and written communicationPositive youth developmentKnowledge of counseling approaches and techniquesGroup facilitation and training method skillsKnowledge of community resourcesPay Rate: $22.50- $24.50 per hour The Center for Youth Provides Equal Employment Opportunities
