Additional Position Details: FTE: 0.900000 | Full Time | 3rd Shift - Nights
For this role, candidates at either the Emergency Services Tech 1 or the Emergency Services Tech 2 level will be considered. Qualifications and starting wage for both levels are noted below. Both levels pay extra shift differentials (on top of the hourly base rate) for evening, night, and weekend hours.
Starting Wage:
- Emergency Services Tech 1: $22.53-$30.97 per hour, depending on experience
- Emergency Services Tech 2: $23.99-$32.99 per hour, depending on experience
Position Summary
The Emergency Services (ES) Tech for Asante assists in providing care to patients in the Emergency Department or Immediate Care under the direction of the RN, FNP, PA, or MD, working as a team member & helping to promote the functioning of Emergency Services.
Qualifications for the Emergency Services Tech 1:
Required Certifications
- EMT: Emergency Medical Technician certified by the Oregon Department of Human Services - OR - by the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians
- BLS: Basic Life Support for the Healthcare provider certified by the American Heart Association (AHA)
Preferred Certifications
- ACLS: Advanced Cardiac Life Support
- CMOT: Certified Monitor Technician
- PALS: Pediatric Advanced Life Support
- PHTLS: Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support
Qualifications for the Emergency Services Tech 2:
Experience
- Previous work or training in the medical field is required
- 1 or more years of experience in an emergency department or 911 setting is preferred
Required Certifications
- BLS: Basic Life Support for the Healthcare provider certified by the American Heart Association (AHA)
- ACLS: Advanced Cardiac Life Support
- PALS: Pediatric Advanced Cardiac Life Support
- EMT-P: Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic by the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians or by the State of Oregon- OR- EMT-I: Emergency Medical Technician- Intermediate, certified by the OHA (Oregon Health Authority)- OR-equivalent
Preferred Certifications
- BLS Instructor: Basic Cardiac Life Support Instructor
- ACLS Instructor: Advanced Cardiac Life Support Instructor
- PALS Instructor: Pediatric Life Support Instructor
