Position Details
  • Position: Registered Nurse Emergency Department
  • Location: Torrance, CA
  • Contract Length: 16 Weeks
  • Shift: Mid Shift
  • Hours: 2:00 PM 2:30 AM
  • Schedule: 3x12-Hour Shifts
Required Qualifications
  • Active California RN License
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS
  • Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience
  • Epic experience required
Job Responsibilities
Perform rapid patient assessment, triage, and emergency interventions.
  • Provide emergency nursing care to neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients.
  • Initiate and maintain peripheral IV access and perform phlebotomy procedures.
  • Administer blood products, IV vasopressors, sedation medications, and emergency therapies.
  • Manage central lines and monitor critically ill patients.
  • Interpret and manage cardiac rhythms and dysrhythmias.
  • Monitor patients undergoing procedural sedation and emergency procedures.
  • Care for patients requiring ventilators, BiPAP, CPAP, and advanced respiratory support.
  • Assess and manage stroke, trauma, neurological, cardiac, respiratory, and medical emergencies.
  • Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, radiology, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Document patient care accurately in Epic EMR.
  • Participate in emergency response, code blue, and rapid intervention situations.
