    Description

    A regional tertiary and quaternary care center is seeking an Emergency Room Nurse Manager to provide clinical and operational leadership within its Emergency Department. This leadership role supports a high-volume emergency care environment and works closely with nursing leadership and multidisciplinary teams to promote quality outcomes, staff development, and patient-centered care.

    Responsibilities

    Provide daily operational leadership for the Emergency Department and support efficient clinical workflows.

    Oversee nursing operations, staffing, resource management, and department performance.

    Lead and support nursing teams while promoting professional growth, engagement, and retention.

    Utilize clinical, operational, human resource, and financial data to support decision-making.

    Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, professional nursing practices, and organizational policies.

    Collaborate with nursing leadership on strategic planning, process improvement, innovation, and department initiatives.

    Promote evidence-based practice and continuous improvement across clinical and operational processes.

    Support staff development through coaching, mentoring, education, and performance management.

    Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, accountability, and excellence in patient care.

    Requirements

    BSN or equivalent (ADN with MSN, BA with MSN) required; Master's Degree in Nursing preferred.

    Must have and maintain current licensure as Registered Nurse with the North Carolina Board of Nursing. eNLC (Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact) license may apply; licensee should confirm with NCBON.

    BLS Healthcare Provider.

    A minimum of five years of recent nursing experience; 2 years in relevant clinical hospital experience with demonstrated leadership skills.

    Previous leadership experience required.

    Schedule

    Full-time, nights, 4 PM – 2 AM with rotating weekends.
