A 585+ bed Level I Trauma Center and Primary Stroke Center in Kansas City, MO is seeking a full-time Emergency Room Manager. The facility also houses a Chest Pain Center, Breast Care Center, Cardiovascular Rehabilitation Programs, and women's services including obstetrics and fertility.

The role. Reporting to the Director, the Emergency Room Manager provides leadership and oversight exclusively for the main Emergency Department. This role carries accountability for the clinical, financial, environmental, and employee-related functions of the ED, including developing, implementing, and evaluating departmental policies and procedures that define scope of service. The Manager serves as a professional role model and clinical resource, acting as liaison with the medical staff while ensuring department operations remain within budgetary boundaries and meet all regulatory requirements. Additional responsibilities include recommending adequate staffing levels, hiring and evaluating personnel, overseeing orientation and continuing education, and managing disciplinary processes through termination when necessary.

What we're looking for.

  • Bachelor's Degree or Associate Degree
  • Must have 2+ years of recent acute care ED management experience
  • Must hold a current RN license from the Missouri Board of Professional Registration or an active compact license
  • American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS and ACLS required upon hire
  • ENPC (Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course) OR PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) upon hire and TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) OR ATCN (Advanced Trauma Care for Nurses) required within one year of hire
  • Certification in area of specialty preferred

Schedule. Full time, days, no weekends.

Compensation. $53.12 - $53.12/hr plus Relocation: Case by Case Basis
