Emergency Department | University Campus:
The Emergency Department (ED) at the University Campus (located at 200 Hawkins Dr.) is a 57-bed department.
Our ED is staffed by a multidisciplinary team which includes Registered Nurses, Patient Care Technicians, Paramedics, Unit Assistants, Social Work, Psychiatry, Emergency Medicine providers, Pharmacy, and our research team. The University Campus ED was the recipient of an Emergency Nurses Association (ENA) Lantern Award in 2025 for their collaboration and teamwork that makes a difference in the lives of patients, families, employees, and our community. Characteristic Duties of our Staff Nurses include but are not limited to:
Percent of Time: 50 - 100%
Schedule example: 50%-100% positions available. 20-40 hours per week dependent upon percentage of position. Rotating D/E/N shifts and rotating days off. 8/12 hour shifts available. Weekend and holiday rotating assignments required. Orientation duration may vary.
Location: Regular salaried position is at the University Campus ED located in Iowa City, Iowa

Salary: $60,000 minimum at 100% effort to commensurate This does not include differentials. Salary will vary based on years of experience and percent of effort.
Pay Differentials: Shift differentials for evening, night, and weekend shifts. Premium pay for additional shifts greater than 4 hours. Inpatient differential of up to $10,000 per year
