Position Overview

• Patient Volume: 12K Annual ED Volume
• Department Capabilities: 24/7 Ultrasound, CT and radiology services
• Coverage Model: MD (6a-6p, 6p-6a)
• Number of Beds: 10 Bed freestanding emergency department
• Acuity: Level IV Trauma Center
• EMR: EPIC with Abridge AI Note
• Admissions/Transfers: Less than 0.1%
• Average Door to Clinician Time: Less than 6 minutes

Qualifications

• Education: Emergency Medicine residency training
• Licensure: Must have or be able to obtain a Texas medical license
• Board Certification: Must be board eligible/board certified upon start

Designated as a Level IV Trauma Center, it provides comprehensive emergency care, on-site imaging, diagnostic labs, and advanced care for trauma, stroke, and cardiac conditions for patients of all ages. Additionally, it offers seamless transitions to inpatient hospital services and follow-up care within the broader CHRISTUS Health network when higher-level intervention is needed.
