    • Licenses: Active unrestricted VA Medical License, DEA with VA address (schedules 2,2N,3,3N,4,5)
    • DEA / CDS: DEA with VA address (schedules 2-5)
    • Certifications: ACLS, ATLS, PALS (if not BC EM), NRP (if non-ABEM)
    • Experience: EM residency graduates within past 12 months accepted; 3-month proctorship required
    • Other Qualifications: Current immunizations (MMR, Varicella, TB, Flu), case logs for past 2 years, Preeclampsia CME every 2 years
    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Provide emergency medical care for patients of all ages in a 12-hour shift model.
    • Manage an annual patient volume of approximately 16,000 visits.
    • Supervise mid-level coverage (9-hour shift) as part of the care team.
    • Perform standard emergency medicine procedures as required.
    • Document care using Epic EMR and participate in quality initiatives.
